Why Black Voters Should Hate The Democrat Party

"Why Black Voters Should Hate The Democrat Party"

.........says the white Republican voter.....
As a black man, I can tell you...I don't have much consideration for Republicans or anything Southern for that matter.

Most blacks, I believe, feel this way...and with good reason.

Of course there's the token one, two or three who may disagree, but they are quite the minority.

Like someone already posted, just take a gander at the current Republican party line-up and their line-up for the last 30-50 years.

The evidence is OVERWHELMING.

Republicans, you're not fooling a damn soul but yourselves.

Carry on.

:cool:

The republican party of today is the party of rich old white men. Look at the podium when they have their big meetings.

Please don't give us crap about the past.

Actually rich old white men, like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Jon Corzine, etc etc are all Democrats. Or did you miss that one?

It's because you enjoy being told you can't compete successfully with white people and so need special treatment? Or is it because you want to continue being the "house ******" for the Democratic Party?

It has little impact obviously, and Goldwater only took five states after 1964 vote. So I'm wondering where the truth is because I can't get it from Right Winger or his masseuses. I'm reading history, and I have no idea why any black would vote for a Democrat, but they have. Now we'll see if they can see the classless elitism that is the Democrat Party in action, Harry Reid.

None of the above, and if you believe that then that says more about you and your racist views than it does about anyone else.

I will pray for you.

Instead of praying for me why not explain why you support a political party that has decimated the economic life of Black people.

Rabbi,

Do you accept the FACT that Republicans, for many decades, has actively sought out to and succeeded in suppressing the black vote, especially in Southern States?

How does posting quotes from 50-150 years ago impact how blacks should vote today?

You have a problem with facts? Or just that they're "old" facts?

Blacks should vote their values and its my opinion that most blacks hold to conservative views moreso than liberal views. Those quotes prove that the democrats have a long history of being racist. And the following supports that observation.

How many people know that following the Civil War, 23 blacks -- 13 of them ex-slaves -- were elected to Congress, all as Republicans? The first black Democrat was not elected to Congress until 1935, from the state of Illinois. The first black congressional Democrat from a Southern state was not elected until 1973.

How many people know that blacks founded the Texas Republican Party? On July 4, 1867, in Houston, Texas, 150 blacks and 20 whites formed the party. No, not the Black Texas Republican Party, they founded the Texas Republican Party. Blacks across Southern states also founded the Republican parties in their states.

Fugitive slave laws? In 1850, Democrats passed the Fugitive Slave Law. If merely accused of being a slave, even if the person enjoyed freedom all of his or her life (as approximately 11 percent of blacks did just before the Civil War), the person lost the right to representation by an attorney, the right to trial by jury, and the right to habeas corpus.

Emancipation? ...
You know, when you cut & paste a quote from Larry Elder, you really should give him credit.

He didn't give me credit for using my quotes, so now we're even.

Lonestar: In answer to the last question, I'll help you out, since I think you are too lazy to look it up.

93 democrats
. ---> Since 1929.
Grand Total: THREE REPUBLICANS.
THREE.

Hmmm..

Lazy? Perhaps you have nothing better to do with your time, like work, but I certainly do. From your source: The election of President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932 led to a shift of black voting loyalties from Republican to Democrat, as Roosevelt's New Deal programs offered economic relief to blacks. From 1940 to 1970, nearly five million blacks moved north and also west, especially to California in the second wave of the Great Migration. By the 1960s, virtually all black voters were Democrats and most were voting in states outside the former Confederacy.

Of course, no Democrat would ever try to dilute minority voting:

Democrat Finneran Update

Board recommends Finneran disbarred

Updated: Friday, 13 Mar 2009, 9:54 PM EDT
Published : Friday, 13 Mar 2009, 9:28 PM EDT

BOSTON (AP) - A legal disciplinary board has recommended that former Massachusetts House Speaker Thomas Finneran be disbarred for his conviction on a federal obstruction of justice charge.

Finneran's law license was temporarily suspended in 2007 after he pleaded guilty in federal court to lying about his role in a redistricting plan that diluted the clout of minority voters.

The recommendation made Friday by the Board of Bar Overseers will be sent to the state Supreme Judicial Court, which will have the ultimate say on what discipline Finneran receives.

A three-member panel of the board had recommended a two-year suspension. But the Office of the Bar Counsel, which prosecutes attorney misconduct cases, recommended disbarment, which would mean he could not practice law in Massachusetts again.

Oh, by the way:

Federal prosecutors and lawyers for Finneran recommended that the once-powerful figure on Beacon Hill receive 18 months of unsupervised probation and a $25,000 fine. In return, Finneran agreed not to run for any elected political position in state, federal or municipal government for five years after his sentencing date. The US Attorney's office agreed to dismiss three counts of perjury against Finneran.

Democrats have bought out many blacks, at the expense of the black population. 25 million murdered through abortion, unemployment rates among young blacks to the moon still today, imprisonment of young blacks to the moon from Democrat laws, and all this with a majority control of the House and Senate for over 70% of the time during the last 60 years plus.

A few well paid blacks have done well under Democrats at the expense of their people. Isn't it funny that many blacks do well in a Republican led organization like the military, and it is solid Republican. The only government entity that isn't Democrat monopolized, state or federal.

If a Republican issued these words, instead of Democrat Harry Reid there would be hell:

as a "light-skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Many Democrats opposed the abolition of slavery, and not just the one's in the South either:
The Copperheads were a vocal group of Democrats in the Northern United States (see also Union (American Civil War)) who opposed the American Civil War, wanting an immediate peace settlement with the Confederates. Republicans started calling antiwar Democrats "copperheads", likening them to the poisonous snake. The Peace Democrats accepted the label, but for them the copper "head" was the likeness of Liberty, which they cut from copper pennies proudly wore as badges. [1]

The Copperheads had numerous important newspapers, but the editors never formed an alliance. In Chicago, Wilbur F. Storey made the Chicago Times into Lincoln's most vituperative enemy. The New York Journal of Commerce, originally abolitionist, was sold to owners who became Copperheads, giving them an important voice in the largest city. A typical editor was Edward G. Roddy, owner of the Uniontown, Pennsylvania Genius of Liberty. He was an intensely partisan Democrat who saw black people as an inferior race and Abraham Lincoln as a despot and dunce. Although he supported the war effort in 1861, he blamed abolitionists for prolonging the war and denounced the government as increasingly despotic. By 1864 he was calling for peace at any price.

Hell, look at the overwhelming percentage of Democrats compared to Republicans who opposed the Civil Rights Act:
The original House version:

* Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%)
* Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%)

* Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%)
* Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%)

The Senate version:

* Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) (only Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
* Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) (this was Senator John Tower of Texas)
* Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) (only Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia opposed the measure)
* Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16%) (Senators Barry Goldwater of Arizona, Bourke Hickenlooper of Iowa, Edwin L. Mechem of New Mexico, Milward L. Simpson of Wyoming, and Norris H. Cotton of New Hampshire opposed the measure)

Responding to allegations that Martin Luther King, Jr. was a communist, the Kennedy administration agreed to let the Federal Bureau of Investigation wiretap private individuals, including Martin Luther King, Jr. This continued under Democrat Lyndon Johnson by the way.

Some day, when everyone has an opportunity to read and learn history, and realize today who the Democrats are, they will agree that Democrats are the Party of racism against blacks, bar none.

Always have been, always will be...........

Let see--first the Civil War

Over hundred years ago--the parties realigned since then

Now civil Rights--Do Democrats promote Robert Byrd and hold him as a model for future Liberals?? No

Do Republicans promote Barry Goldwater and hold him up as a future role model for future Conservatives? Yes.

Imagine yourself a minority and ask yourself "which party would you go for--the one that try to keep their racists concealed(because they arembarrassed by them) or the one that parade their racists(because they agree with them)?

I am still surprise that Republicans neee to ask that question.

I don't have time right now to read through all the posts in this thread, nor the other one similar, so this may have already been said.

I don't know why people (especially the pundits) are all dancing around the truth. The fact is there is a BIOLOGICIAL inflection in the voices of black people (not necessarily just African-Americans either). I can tell just by listening to someone whom I don't know and I cannot see if he or she is black even when they are articulating without any jive or common phrases used strictly by black people (such as "...know what I'm sayin'??" There are very few among the basic black "man on the street" who don't have that common inflection in their voices. Of the few who don't are Barack Obama, Justice Thomas, Michael Steele, General Powell and a few others who are high-profile and who perhaps have trained their voices accordingly or were raised from childhood with more whites than blacks surrounding them. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and even Dr. King all sound black, even though they are highy intelligent. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Please, oh please, tell me there is a Republican on this board who will slap this asshat down for remarks he is trying to attribute to all Republicans?

Because many blacks share the same principles as conservatives, and would be on board with Republicans once the opportunities have balanced. I see that coming, and already here for many, and once it does, blacks will abandon the Titanic ship called the Democrat Party, the Party of government at all costs at the expense of the American people.

Isn't it funny a Democrat slurper like VaYank is calling for a Republican to help him...............

That's the problem Ya Yank, these are historically challenged liberals. I would bet that most of them do not know that President Lincoln was a REPUBLICAN.

" With liberals, history starts brand new, each and every day." Ann Coulter:lol:

I don't think blacks are liberals at all. They are a lot more conservative and God fearing than Democrats realize. Once the opportunities emerge away from corrupt government pay offs, life will be better in this nation for all of us.

For those of us who were there, reading this sort of revisionist nonsense boggles one's mind. I remember still the separate facilities and the hatred some showed us GIs as we traveled in the south. They thought we were there to change their world I guess. LBJ changed the country but he created a backlash against democrats that still exists. Republicans still consistently win there.

Reid screwed up, he got what he deserved but history is surely in another place.

I can understand VaYanks confusion though. He never served in the miltary, so it's common for liberals to be upset about issues they don't have a clue on. They'll wish the truth wasn't here, but sadly, they are on the defensive instead of acknowledging their failure to the American people in support of this corrupt government.
