Who here "opposes" this simple Sanders' proposal?

The problem is we have a lot of irresponsible people in this country so yes, a forced savings would help. If everybody were responsible, we wouldn't have speed limits on our streets and highways and we wouldn't have a Democrat party.

Money taken out before your net is money that isn't missed as much. If Republicans ever got away with making payroll deductions illegal, and we all had to write out a check to SS, FICA and Medicare every three months, people would have a heart attack.

The benefit of a health savings account is that it's your money and it isn't taxed.

I think the best medical coverage would consist of catastrophic health insurance and a medical savings account consisting of pretax contributions that you keep at the end of the year and can roll into a larger medical savings plan after paying tax on it.

I am sick of paying out the wazzoo for insurance on things like car insurance, home insurance and so forth then have to fight them tooth and nail for the money I need when I finally need it. It is a disgrace.

I have a claim for about $110k from an automobile accident and it was back in 2014. Still havent seen a dime and it is a high likelihood I wont ever. They havent even given me a decision for Goodness sakes.

There is no reason on God's Green Earth to allow pharmaceutical companies to price gouge Americans for drugs.

Amen. But according to many on here (Ray) its aok and should be continued.

After all, cant be cutting into the CEOs multi million dollar bonus. that just wouldnt be right. Better to let sick Americans either bankrupt themselves trying to pay for their drugs. Or just die.

AND a lot of lawsuits, where they harmed patients, Who asked their Doctor....bull crap.

Always try to listen what the "voice over" at the end of those big pharma ads states.....
The quickly enunciated caveats make one wonder WHY the heck anyone would endanger their health in actually taking those drugs....Its CYA at its worst.

That is funny. I don't understand some of these drug commercials to begin with.

Cialis used to show these two people in their bathtubs on top of an apartment roof or something. They are holding hands and smiling. My first thought is, why would that make me want to buy your product???

If you want me to buy your product, shouldn't you show this couple inside their apartment instead of on top of a roof? Show me the headboard banging against the wall and a midget swinging from a chandelier or something. Then I might say "I want me some of that!"

At the very least, shouldn't these two people be in the same bathtub?

I don't get it.

You stated, mandatory, like a more powerful dictatorship.

I have watched and lived the government destroy the industries I have trained and worked in, I have watched the government destroy our healthcare system.

now you state that the government should force me to put money into saving for healthcare?

well, I guess that does not apply to me cause I can not afford a saving account let alone a house seeings how the government has destroyed so much industry in the the USA.

You sound like someone who would "enjoy" relocating to Antarctica.
And you sound like someone with no education or intelligence, is that the best response you have, one devoid of anything but an insult.

Price caps would produce more harm than good. Hillary tried it, and look what happened:

Hillary's Vaccine Shortage
Bullshit. Big Pharma punishes the US government in various retaliatory ways, but that doesnt mean it is inevitable, or else they would not have such industries in Europe where they do cap drug prices across the board.

Please send a few bucks to these poor CEOs....they DO need your generous help This is from a few years ago.

Almost all of the publicly traded health insurers reported big increases in revenue and profits last year. The big winners have been the top executives of those companies, led by Mark Bertolini, CEO of Aetna, the nation’s third largest health insurer. Bertolini’s total compensation of $30.7 million in 2013 was 131 percent higher than in 2012.

Skyrocketing salaries for health insurance CEOs
Who do you think wrote the ACA? DUH.

It is pathetic, but I don't think there is anyway to keep the insurance companies out of it.

In my state, you don't have to have insurance to drive, but you have to provide proof you are financially responsible. How that is done I don't know.

And let's face it, if anybody is running the country, it's insurance companies. They use the same strategy to get their way as Democrats. They use money.

Why do employers drug test? They get cheaper workman's compensation rates. Why do we have a law that states you must be wearing your seatbelt? What business is it of governments to decide what the best protection for you is? It's all insurance company payoffs to the politicians.

The commercial itself is meaningless. It's the disclaimer that attracts customers:
"Warning. If your penis turns into Godzilla and starts destroying small villages see your physician immediately."

No argument from me......Obama sold out to big pharma and hospital conglomerates for his "legacy" of having helped to insure many Americans who could not access such insurance.........A Faustian deal, all around.

They sell another drug (I forget for what) and it shows a guy riding his bicycle with his family. WTF stopped you from riding your bike in the first place? Or they show a doctor on a public street with a mirror, and people are walking up to it and acting like they bought a new wardrobe or something. They are looking at their cholesterol level in the mirror.

So I went to my bedroom mirror to see if I could tell where my cholesterol was. All I noticed is my hair needed brushing.:badgrin::badgrin:

if Sanders is a good candidate, why can you not defend Sanders?

Forgive me, I'm having a hard time locating my Moronic-to-English dictionary to decipher your rants........You may have notices (or not) that my O/P WAS INDEED a "defense" of Sanders.

I don't think he sold out, I think it was in the works the whole time. The fact is many uber rich are Democrats and donate to their political picks. But only the Republicans get criticized for the back scratching.

It's all about an image or branding. It's illegal to advertize tobacco or liquor but perfectly acceptable to dupe people into demanding drugs from the doctor without knowing much more than a identity. I suspect the right hands are being greased.

One of Sanders' proposal is not only sane but doable if only congress was not a bunch of self-centered cowards...The proposal is to compel Medicare to openly negotiate with big pharmaceuticals companies for lower prices based on volume.....

Who would lose if this proposal were to become a reality? Big pharma's CEOs and board members who no longer could upgrade to more modern Lear jets every few years.

Need to compel bernie to start seeing a shrink. Damn, what a freaking loonbat.

Next time just say you don't know it gives one much more credibilty than going but Bush.

Well, I could have blamed your grandmother for Medicare Part D....but then I thought that Bush should bear at least some of the blame, don't you think?
I didn't ask about Medicare Part D did I ? I ask how you would compel Medicare to do as you suggested in your OP something you claimed was simple I guess that's not as simple as you claimed given your continuous Bush deflections.

You obviously have ever watched a sporting event on TV.
