Australia and Puerto Rico were hot. I was stuck watching because of family. I don't know how Venezuela made it to top 3. I can’t believe they asked Miss Phillippenes about legalizing marijuana. Her life may be in danger now because of Duterte.

For me Miss Universe ranks right up there with the Oscars, Emmys, and other industry-specific fluffers on the annual Circle Jerk calendar of I-don’t-give-a-shit events. Their only saving grace is they tell a bunch of fragile psyches each go-round what losers they are when they don’t win, and that’s always a nice schadenfreude experience.
