Have you noticed since Jan 20th, 2009, how the lickspittle, lapdog, liberal media has lowered the bar for standards to make the soon to be Ex-Dictator in Chief and his sorry ass economic recovery? Back when jobs were being talked about being created, the norm up to his assumption to office, would require around 300,000 jobs just to keep up with the birth rate. Soon just having over 150,000 jobs was a good thing, because they lowered expectations to 120,000 to 170,000. Well read into this article again. Shows once again how in the tank the 4th estate has become and is now the 5th column.
I guess if you expect 1,000,000 and only get 247,000, yep that is less than expected. But it still is a rise in unemployment that wasn't supposed to be happening.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast first-time applications for jobless benefits rising to 255,000 in the latest week. A Labor Department analyst said there were no special factors influencing last week's data and that only claims for Virginia had been estimated.
Fourth Estate-The Fourth Estate (or fourth power) is a societal or political force or institution whose influence is not consistently or officially recognized. "Fourth Estate" most commonly refers to the news media, especially print journalism or "the press".
Fifth column-A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger group—such as a nation or a besieged city—from within, usually in favor of an enemy group or nation. The activities of a fifth column can be overt or clandestine. Forces gathered in secret can mobilize openly to assist an external attack. This term is also extended to organized actions by military personnel.
