What song and/or album would (or will) you pick...

I'm not having a funeral since I don't plan on dying. But if I was going to have a funeral, I'd want something fun, like Plastic Bertrand's Ça Plane Pour Moi

Why would an athesist have a funeral? Don't they just grind up your body and use it for dog food or something? :eusa_shifty:

LOL!!!!

I certainly wouldn't waste any money on my own funeral. Especially If I can't be there to enjoy it!

But since I'm not going to be around to object to whatever anyone wants to do with my body after I'm dead, if they want to turn me into Alpo, what can I do??

Someone mentioned this but "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen would something I'd consider.

"My Way" by Ol Blue Eyes (Frank Sinatra) as manifold mentioned would be another.

Some others I've considered:

All things must pass - George Harrison

Let It Be - The Beatles

Tuesday's Gone - Lynard Skynard

Though if I were to rise from the dead, Wild Horses - Rolling Stones. :eusa_whistle:

In the unlikely event I will ever die, I suppose Samuel Barber's Adagio for Stings is the right music for the viewing.

I consider this one of the most beautifully crafted pieces of music ever written.

If, while listening to this, it fails to move you to ponder the mystery of life and death, you have my deepest sympathy.

A beautiful piece of music.
I love it nearly as much as I love Brahms' Clarinet Quintet in B minor.

Now I'm going to get all sentimental and cry....

Thank goodness you have a sense of humor Angel! :clap2:

Here's another beautiful song I want played either at my wedding (ha!) or funeral.

(remember, you can't spell funeral without FUN!)

This is a good version of it too:

I heard that at Warren Zevon's funeral they played his own semi-hit song "I'll sleep when I'm dead." That's kinda funny if it's true.

Maybe they should play Python's Always Look At The Bright Side of Life at funerals?
