I always find it interesting that CNN and other networks take shots at news that comes from RT since they are a State run "news network" and I agree. However, there is no such criticism of CBC which is also a state run news network that engages in propaganda and to which I know of at least three "reporters" (one who left a few years ago) who work for the security apparatus in Canada.

Why the double standard? How is Canadian propaganda somehow more legitimate and credible than any other Socialist, quasi-communist, crony capitalist, anti-liberty state run news outlet?

It isn't. It just sounds better to make the Russians your scapegoats because we actually have to live right next door to Canada and nothing much interesting ever happens up there.

Suggest the PRN, PBS are sort of a Gov or Progressive media systems. Supported by the Gov, Progressive et,al.

The Progressives think they own Canada and don't want to upset what they have gained up there. Just look at the ones in the Media that have moved here and became Citizens so they can bad mouth the Conservatives. A good example is the S Bee who is a imported Comic (this is in question) and works for Ted Turner who probably imported her in as she is for sale. She does a progressive show on TBS for him and theme is bashing the American government and the Republicans mostly. We have had some conservatives from Great Briton who work for News Media, some Lib and some Conservative.

Do people typically cite stories from the CBC? Or VOA, which is the U.S. government's propaganda organ, for that matter? If large quantities of folks aren't citing and/or relying upon content from those outlets, there's not much point in criticizing them. To do so would, among a certain genre of "counter-rational" nitwits, appear to give them an air of legitimacy and notoriety they don't deserve. Additionally, when the topic of discussion or question is RT, its credibility and reliability, remarking upon another news organization would be off topic, thus unproductive. RT's legitimacy stands or falls on RT's actions, not those of other organizations.

I'm sure there may be some credible and objective content published by those organizations, but why bother going to those entities' content and figuring out whether any specific article is indeed fairly presented in all (or most) material respects when there are plenty of others that are more likely to be so?

On the other hand, if among one's information consumption objectives be finding content that confirms rather than challenges one's own bias, RT, VOA, CBC, etc. may well be good places to look for news and information.
