What is Obama saying to us when he arrives late for speeches?

President Obama IS more important than individual members of Congress. That's why he has secret service protection and they don't.

And with all the staff and agents he has smoothing out the way in front of him he has no excuse for being late so much.

He should treat us with respect. Or he should expect people to start tuning him out.

Like they are. And it's his own fault.

Perhaps you should treat president Obama with respect. Have you ever thought of that?

I treat Obama with more respect than he has for me.

I listen to him even though he comes late for events. I listen to him even though he calls me a bitter clinger who is allowed to come along for the ride but has to sit in back. I listen to him even though he thinks I'm too ignorant to understand his message.

I listen to him even though he lies to me and thinks I'm too stupid to notice.

I treat him with WAY more respect than he shows me.

Perhaps he oughta plant a big ole kiss on my ass.
The emperor has no clothes, I am not going to pretend otherwise.

He's going to have to be on time for tomorrow's speech because he's up against the game, but in general. Why does he jerk us around the way he does and make us wait on him? It's very disrespectful to the people who are waiting to listen to him.

One more thing ... how long is this speech going to be tomorrow night? With each minute over 15 even some of his most stalwart fans are going to start getting antsy about missing the football festivities. I'll probably listen to him. I like keeping a live count of how many times he says "I, me, my" ... and how many times he turns from asking for bipartisan efforts and then insults Republicans without even taking a breath in between .... Plus I'm not that much into football but a whole lot of those blue collar people he's counting on are going to be impatient.

It says he has a lot on his plate.

Maybe that's what he wants us to interpret it as. Part of the "I'm more important than you" message.

But if he can't even manage his plate well enough to get to speeches on time, that explains a lot.

"Uppity" is he?

OK. probably racist. Nice kitty.

Is arrogant and inconsiderate the same as uppity? Not the exact word I'd choose - doesn't quite capture the essence of the impression he gives - but if that's how you want it, okay.

He doesn't know you. Just like I'm sure that Bush didn't know you, or me for that matter.

What I would LIKE to believe is that average people are smart enough to not get their opinions spoon fed to them by multimillionaire radio talk show hosts who are more interested in protected THEIR reduced tax rates than anything that has to do with YOUR or MY lives because THEY don't know us either.

With that in mind, ask yourself this question: Who is it that's MORE likely to care about you and your future prosperity? Is it a president of a different political party who doesn't make much money and needs good news on the economy to help assure a second term in office and can be voted out of office if results aren't forthcoming? Or is it a multimillionaire radio talk show host who has no skin in the game and could actually see his ratings go UP if the economy worsens?

That's an interesting question. Too bad that the answer has nothing to do with the future prosperity of this nation.

Those cold-hearted rich Republicans for whom you have so much disdain just plain know more about how not to eff up the economy than Obama does - no matter how motivated he is to have it turn around in time top save his job.

The more Obama stirs things around, the more muck and mud there is for the economic engine to sink into.

That's all there is to it.

When he finally shuts up and stops tinkering, the economic recovery will probably take hold.

He has spun our wheels into the sand. He has flooded the engine. We need him to quit cranking the ignition.
