Several other states, including Connecticut and Kentucky, are outpacing their enrollment estimates, even as states that depend on the federal website lag far behind. In Minnesota, enrollment in the second half of October ran at triple the rate of the first half, officials said. Washington state is also on track to easily exceed its October enrollment figure, officials said.

Healthcare plan enrollment surges in some states

Gee, Republicans will have a lot to run on.

GOP: We will screw your family, your children, your parents. We will happily watch them die. We will watch you go bankrupt. We will complain when you go to the emergency room because helping you costs too damn much. And if you do get sick, you better die quick.

Now, that may not be the message they want to get out, but if half the country ends up with health care and half doesn't, think of the political message to the middle class.

yep. They never wanted it to work and will do everything in their power to return to insurance company death panels :(

No offense, but anyone who uses the expressions "health care" and "health insurance" interchangeably is...an idiot.

Nuff said.

Think of poor Mitch McConnell in Kentucky. Obamacare is booming in Kentucky and Mitch has to run on repealing it

Yet Kentucky may be one of the few places where support for ObamaCare is actually a winning argument come next year.

The state's exchange marketplace has been one of ObamaCare's early bright spots. And continued success, coupled with a turnaround for the law at the federal level, could make ObamaCare relatively popular there over the coming months.

That would put McConnell, facing challengers on both his right and left, in a tricky bind.

Before ObamaCare, 640,000 Kentucky residents — or one-sixth of the state's population — didn't have health insurance. So Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear made it his biggest priority to ensure the law was in place and working properly.

"My state needs ObamaCare," he wrote in a New York Times op-ed. "Now."

The early results have been quite positive.

What happens when rdean learns that health care and health insurance are not synonymous? Will it be the beginning of the end, or will it already be too late to get ready?

What happens when half the country has health care (insurance) and half doesn't? (Rephrased)

Answer: All those who have healthcare insurance see increases in their premiums.
Typically, the provider's maybe paid partially through charities and the rest they absorb, But to cover their losses they raise the cost of their services and of course the increase of cost is reflected increases in insurance premiums.

yep, it was termed a stealth tax but rw'ers did everything in their power to deny it existed even though insurance rates were rising at 3X the rate of wages.
