What do Maria Gabriela Chávez and Hunter Biden have in common?

Answer: They both gained significant wealth after their respective fathers rose to the pinnacle of political power.

Maria Gabriela Chávez Net Worth: Hugo Chávez's Daughter Richest Woman in Venezuela, Worth $4.2 Billion

So for everyone screaming about how the country was ruined by US sanctions... this right here is why the sanctions were created.

The Chavez government gave only one single license to export Rice from Argentina, to Venezuela. That license was aquired by a company operating in the Caribbean.

This export company, which purchased rice from Argentina, and sold it to Venezuela at inflated prices, had some surprising connections to Minister Julio De Vido, of Argentina, Ambassador Carlos Cheppi who is of course an ambassador to Venezuela, and María Gabriela Chavez, the daughter of the great socialist himself, Hugo Chavez.

Now keep in mind... this is a situation that was created to happen.

Before Hugo Chavez, Venezuela was a net-exporter of food. They produced far more rice, than the country itself ate. So they were exporting rice. There was no need for an import license, because they didn't need to import rice.

After Hugo Chavez destroyed the countries ability to make food, with their land redistribution policies, and socialist price fixing.... the result was they needed to import food.

So seeing a great money making scheme, they issued only a single license, to a company connected to the politicians, and charged inflated prices.

Notice also that they created this company in the Caribbean. Why did they do that? Because Argentina was already having some scandal problems at the time, and Venezuela was already having inflation problems. So they conveniently moved the profits from the over priced rice, to a Caribbean island, which can then be moved internationally.

How do you think Maria is worth billions, when the Venezuelan peso is worth pennies? They have the money in international bank accounts.

Meanwhile the poor are starving to death in Venezuela.

This is why the US levied Sanctions. The same thing is happening with oil, and everything else in Venezuela. The government is enriching themselves, while the poor die.
