Veterans who don't have adequate health care is an epidemic and goes back God only knows how many years ago.

I'm reminded of veterens coming home from Vietnam and being effected by agent orange and being turned away. I"m reminded of veterans coming home from Desert Storm and having simliar issues and being turned away.

In fact, I know someone who joined the marines and just as soon as he joined was diagnosed with an intestinal disorder that the VA said needed immediate surgery. Not knowing what to do he consented. It turned out the surgery did him no favors as a later doctor said the surgery was not needed and it only made things worse. Then the marines quickly shoved him out of the service and refused to provide him adequate health care. He then went to a JAG lawyer and the lawyer said that this sort of thing happens all the time and is an epidemic in the service. The young man later died from his condition at the age of 26.

Anyone who joins the service to fight for pond scum that we have in Washington should have thier heads examined.
