'Welcome to Jupiter!' NASA's Juno space probe arrives at giant planet

We can't play God when it comes to simple life forms, we have to let it be
Cortez and Columbus came and 75% of the natives died.

What if the planet we found had killer dinosaurs? Everything about the planet is perfect for us except for this one animal that was too much to deal with like velosa raptor or t Rex. Should we kill them off? Sure

Why shouldn't we go after our own resources within our goddamn solar system? Why shouldn't we be proactive when it comes to asteroids and making plans to prevent our own extinction..

Life is hard and reality is one of the top dog.

But wait it wasn't a assassination of one species, thanks pal you get my theme..

So we are going to once rape a territory, kill off more alien bison for fun to get rid of the native alien Indians?

Sort of like how Republicans don't mind burning up all our natural resources and fossel fuels even though we are polluting this planet?

Sort of like animals are endangered because we've encroached on their land?

Sort of like how we are destroying our rain forests to build homes and heat them?

Or like how we are over fishing our oceans to feed all the parasites you call humans?

Sealy, I have that idiot on ignore but if he is saying that the apex intelligence of this planet is nothing more then a parasite. Well, no wonder he doesn't believe we should explore space or survive.

I have a lot more faith in our species and that is why I believe we should and the chance of long term survival. Looking at the geological record tells me that won't happen if we remain just on this planet.

Inhospitable yes. But, by all the evidence, there is plenty of water. And the history of life is colonizing inhospitable places.

Exactly. As long as there is water, we can work around rest of the challenges. We can use water to generate oxygen that will sustain colonies inside domes or underground buildings. Water can be used to irrigate special type of plants that will sustain the population. Of course, colonizing Mars poses sophisticated engineering challenges but facing and overcoming challenges is how we excel.
