We should fear Sanders

Idiotic circle jerk by right wingers with no basis in reality, just the same tired and ridiculous talking points. Bernie is appealing to the middle class, he's surging, idiots on a Internet forum mean nothing.
I am right leaning and I started this thread because his faux promises to appeal to many but will lead us down the same road that sunk Venezuela and Greece.

LOL. Greece failed because of people not paying taxes and the fucked up retirement age/banking system. Venezuela? A historically down trotten Latin American country. Bernie wants to take ideas from Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Britain, etc, etc.. And look into ways to implement them here.

Err, so is America, what's your point? Remember 2008? Wait, never mind. Stuck? Stuck where? Sounds like horse shit to me. Which European countries are you looking at? They have higher upward mobility.

Conservatives seem to be basking in the Clinton fall from grace. Yet she is far more moderate than Sanders. Face it Republicans it will be very tough to unseat any Democratic candidate.

If Sanders gets in he will come out with free college for all. He will force a vote that will lose. In 2018 he will demonize the Republicans on it. Believe it or not, free college tuition appeals to many middle class independents. Could that be enough to overcome their disadvantage in the senate and house? I am not sure, but that is a strong possibility.

Would would the Colonel do with a majority in the house, a friendly SCOTUS and say 60 votes in the senate?

Free college, single payer healthcare, massive increase in taxes, amnesty, greater power to unions and we are almost assured to see a huge hit to the economy, high unemployment and the greatest decrease to the middle class the country has ever seen. Viva the Revolution.

Be careful what you wish for in Hillary's demise. She would be the fall lesser evil than the Colonel!

There is nothing "massive" about unrigging the tax system that favors the wealthy. A tax on something as unproductive as Wall Street speculation is what will pay for free tuition.
The tax system favors the poor and attacks the middle class.

Capital gains and inheritance taxes should be abolished.

Our money is taxed and taxed and taxed. I'm so done with it.

Deal in cash only whenever possible.

Which takes your savings from home ownership, cashing out retirement accounts, etc.
Wall Street speculation is a non productive inexpensive tax. Of course I'm sure you realize that taxation itself is completely necessary give how expensive our nation's costs are.
Of course I know how expensive it is, with all of the worthless Democrats that expect us to support them.
Um what does that even mean? Do you even know how much is spent per year on programs like food stamps? 70 billion. that's a small fraction compared to what we spend on the bloated defense budget.
Defense of this country is more important than food. You don't need to eat when you don't have a head.

I thought obama saved us.

guess not

2008 was set up by clinton

Greece, Italy, Spain, Ireland. If not for Germany the eu would have sunk.

no they don't, socialism keeps people in place

So unions, affordable college, affordable health care, which most modern civilized countries have (but not USA, thanks republicans) is evil. Thanks for this insight into the modern conservative thought process.

Well, for at least the last few decades, defense of this country has meant attacking other countries doing us no harm. Vietnam, Iraq 2x, Afghanistan. Cost in the trillions, but if it helps the cheney's, halliburtons and other defense contractors and wall street, no problem. And don't forget to kick the little guy when he's down, all you compassionate republicans.

Sure, wall street's going to trickle some of their gains down on the 'little guy.' Reagan promised, remember?

"Conservatives seem to be basking in the Clinton fall from grace."

Then conservatives are only fooling themselves, as no such thing has happened.

And this illustrates the stupidity and lack of political acumen common to most on the right.

Your ignorance is vast or are you intentionally lying?

the bottom 50% pay no taxes

and I find it hard to believe that you didn't know that
They don't pay taxes, but the tax burden is mostly on the middle class. The wealthy must pay the most in taxes, not because it is what's fair, but what is realistic.
You've been told that taking 100% of the wealthys income won't pay for DC let alone fix our debt.

so learn that you support the most ignorant fiscal policy of all time and move to the right where freedom is king and we could have another RR or Harding economic boom
Lol just because it wouldn't pay off the debt, it doesn't mean we should raise taxes. Not raising taxes, will only make this problem worse.
wrong, again.

cutting spending with the current taxes will still increase the debt unless the cuts are very deep.
increasing taxes never works, it never has, anywhere, anytime, ever.

Taxes were raised tremendously in the 30's, during the great depression. Taxes on the very wealthy stayed at very high levels for over 50 years, during which time wars were fought and the middle class was created. So this tax raising never, never has, anytime, anwhere? It did happen. A little less of your Rush Limbaugh institute of advanced conservative studies falsehoods, and a little more reading of real history is my recommendation for you.

Yup, Bernie can change colors faster than a chameleon!

Harding (R) was given a depression, he cut taxes and Fed spending in 1/2. 18 month later, depression over, Roaring Twentys begin.
FDR (D) was given a depression, he raised taxes and vastly increased spending, 10 years later he needed to go to war to end the depression, there was no economic boom.

that's history, that is something you can't learn from b/c you can't learn if your leftist leaders don't tell you something this true.

We once had free college (or almost free - at least affordable plus the vets getting free college through the GI plan) and stronger unions and it was the golden age for the American economy.

Now you think, in you words, "we are almost assured a huge hit to our economy, high unemployment, etc."

History says you are wrong.

So Clinton losing major ground to Sanders and now is even behind in many states is not a fall from grace? The fact that she is getting 300 people to attend her rally's when Sanders is getting thousands, is not a fall from grace? Who you crappin?

If Clinton didn't have so many scandals, people would be like "Sander, you mean the guy that makes that delicious fried chicken?"

We have $20 trillion in debt and haven't balanced the budget this century yet. The amount of budget used to pay back just the interest on this debt is increasing every year. Eventually things dry up. We have seen it before on Argentina and now in Greece.

raising taxes takes money out of the economy
Now wait just a minute there slick!
The Right says that the more the government taxes, the more they spend. If that is not a lie, how exactly does government spending "take money out of the economy?"
