Healthcare is almost as important as the economy to voters and the Dem's get positive numbers for healthcare while the GOP gets bad ones. Also, administration scandals regarding corruption are gaining attention and influence. Pollution, environmental protection, public health and safety are also gaining attention from the public and are positive Dem issues and currently negative issues for Repub's.Our amazing Pres. Trump shattered the Democrat party with his election.

Take a look at the map someday and you'll see the reason why the popular vote should not mean a damn thing. Turnout and results of primary voters also indicate your analysis is wrong. The election of a Democrat to the state legislature in Missouri adds to the win column in special elections for Democrats also.
