We Need Government Healthcare Like Canada!

There is one and only one way to fix this mess. That is to get the government to hell out of healthcare altogether them make it illegal to peddle healthcare insurance fraud. This is because both are the cause of healthcare spiraling out of control. Eliminate all of that crazy shit and natural economic laws would soon force the cost of healthcare down to earth where most can afford healthcare and charity can afford to take care of the rest. That's the way it once was and it worked and it worked well.
The only reason the train was derailed was because the government was doing shit they had no damn business doing by enacting wage and price controls they had no constitutional authority to do in the first place.

More big government isn't ever going to fix what big government broke in the first place. This is called common or walking around horse sense.

So how do you propose you bring the cost of healthcare down to earth? Make docs work for minimum wage? Maybe get rid of the ct and mri's? So what's your plan?

I much prefer the way many Americans wait for healthcare because they can't afford it.

So you just rather pay high taxes, have a VA version of healthcare and still die waiting...

Good to know...

Did you know Democrats could have avoided all this had they passed the Nixon/Kennedy plan?

Sure I'll pay higher taxes, untie my healthcare from my employer, allow me to pick my healthcare providers rather than the limited options of my health insurance, not pay premiums, not worry about preexisting conditions, no need for separate dental and vision care, drugs included at no additional cost.

It's not a VA version of healthcare btw.

There are issues for example what to do with the approximately 2 million people who would lose their jobs and the overall cost. It might be a little higher but if that gets everyone healthcare then the cost is probably worth it.

This by no means is a complete argument for or against medicare4all but should at least spark conversation.

You are going to get a VA system and bot what you think you will get. You will not have any choice and let be clear Sanders and Warren do not want you to have a choice!

In the end Democrats make promises of a great plan but what you will get is the VA that will be underfunded and the tax dollars being stolen for other pork barrel spending!

It's interesting how you're championing "Medicare for All" to achieve goals which 1) it won't even remotely approach, and 2) the conservatives have fought for for years while being blocked by the left.

I can walk unannounced into my GPs office at any time and be seen within half an hour. I have never waited more than two days to see a specialist when the problem merited it. Emergency rooms are of course immediate.

Why would I want to trade that for something run by the government?

NOPE. I don't believe in benefits for those who don't earn them. Only exception in this case are children and the truly disabled.

PROGS want free healthcare because they're physically and mentally lazy. They expect the govt. to do their thinking for them, and take care of them, ON SOMEONE ELSE'S DIME. They lack the mental ability to comprehend they're feeding into weakness and laziness, though perhaps that's what they desire, misery loves company.

So you can wait 3 weeks after your general practitioner refers you to a specialist and 39 weeks for orthopedic surgery.

And Bloomberg says if you’re old, you can just die.

While Americans pine for 'Medicare for all,' Canadians look for US-style private insurance

Since you're Canadian, let me tell you the facts here in the US.

Unless you have a PPO which will cost you $1500.00 to $2200.00 per month, you have an HMO which will cost you $600.00 to $800.00 per month. With a PPO you can choose your Doctor and you receive medical care faster. HMO's you go to the clinic which determines if you need to see you primary provider. Then you wait 30-60 days to see your primary provider, then, if you're deemed, you wait another 90 days to see a specialist. If you need surgery and it's not an emergency (pain is NOT an emergency) you wait another 30-60 days unless you're luck enough to be sick at the beginning of a profit quarter in which you save a few weeks.

Welcome to American healthcare!!!!

If Reagan hadn't deregulated the HMO Act we'd not be here today.

You are either out of your mind, or the biggest bald-faced liar since Hillary Clinton . . . or both.

WOW!! Another Canadian?

But wait, there's more! If you have an HMO, you also have co-pays for being admitted to the emergency room and hospital. These typically run from $600.00 to $3000.00. Is it any wonder that consumer healthcare costs are the number one reason for bankruptcy?

Wow, you're just spewing random shit relating to not a damned thing.

At least you clarified for us all that you are, in fact, out of your mind.
