We have to have the same standards for imported goods as we practice in America. This is FACT.
So we can't pollute the environment and put Corporations out of business due to EPA laws yet we allow China to be the biggest pollutants in the world and openly receive their goods no questions? This only helps the Earth over America.
So we can't let children under age to make our goods but we can openly receive goods from other Countries that don't have the same standard?
So we can't pay our workers under minimum wage, but we can hire Illegals and/or receive goods made from people that get well under our minimum wage?
(Point)
We are the most successful Country in the world. But we are failing due to our own success. Some of you think we should turn the clock back centuries and allow things that are seen as brutal today so we can "compete" with other nations. We already won, what do we have to compete about?
Why do some of you think we should set our standards to the lowest standards in the world in order to compete?
WE CONSUME MORE THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY. If we set our import standards to the same as our export standards or in home standards, we will see our standards get lower and other Countries standards get higher to meet ours.
(for dummies) If we can't allow 12 year olds to make our shoes, we can't import shoes made by 12 year olds. ETC.
