Not funny. Not even much of a News Story since it happened in the White Flag Capital of the World. But interesting anyway.

Those damned guns...

We need "sensible" gun control laws like Hitler's Germany or democrat run Chicago

It should not be lost on us that the US Military allowed all males in/of a Afghan household to keep a AK-47/74 in their home.

Good enough for the otherwise stone age Haji....Not really*** allowed for US citizens.

*** If you could find a full-auto M16 for under 30K you could have one after jumping through .gov hoops/paperwork and paying $200.00 for the "privilege" of the ATF pecking on your door anytime they want.

Full Auto is over-rated anyway on an infantry weapon. Most people that use it are just making noise or doing the old 'spray and pray' routine.

The Weimar Republic was worse from what I recall. Could be wrong.

I think Hitler only banned gun ownership in opposition types like Jews and socialists.

Going from memory

No, you pretty much had to be a nazi party member to be able to own a gun as a civilian.

That was less than 10% of the population.

That's besides the point and you know it.....But yeah, I don't like to waste ammo either.
The British Army issued the Semi Auto-only FN FAL to its Infantry as their standard weapon for 40 years until they started replacing it with a 5.56 that wouldn't shoot at the moon after the first 2 rounds.

Thanks Democrats.
You guys are too funny. Many thanks go to Benedict Donald for his implementation of the well publicized Doha Accords. Between signing of the agreement and the time Biden took offce Benedict had withdrawn from 5 military bases, and ordered the reduction of our forces from nearly 13,000 troops to, 2,500. Forced the Afghanis to accept a 5 to 1 prisoner exchange. Most importantly he failed to ensure the truce and peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghanis were started. There was never a truce between the two and peace talks never started. Furthermore the Taliban did stop other Islamic radicals from operating in Afghanistan. ISIS was very active in Kabul during 2020.

Sure you can blame Joe for not re-invading and going back to war with Taliban because of Benedicts fuck up in the lack of enforcing the Conditions of the much touted Conditional withdrawal.

If 20+ rioting lunatics show up at my door, I'd rather have the full automatic with lots of bullets.
And you'd miss with 90% of your rounds fired and have to reload. With a steady hand and a semi-auto you can make most of the rounds count. So you'd make a lot of noise for about (literally) 2 seconds and then -- You're screwed. And probably so is whoever you're trying to protect. not cool

But that's not why I called today --

The suspect was identified as Mohammed Mogouchkov

Boy, that RoP (Religion of Peace™) is like, really peaceful, huh?

How dare those E-vul Joos not submit.....?

I was just thinking about this the other day. The only real way to stop gun violence in the US is to outlaw all guns and then go door to door taking everyone's guns away. If we don't do that then gun violence will continue. But, even the left claim that they are for second amendment rights and don't want to take everyone's guns away. So, they either need to realize that their "sensible" gun control legislation won't work or be honest and up front and admit that they really do want to take everyone's guns away.

Three-round burst is better.
I have a Class III M-16. I bought it back in the 1970s.

It is a fun toy to shoot at the range. I just use the lower anyhow. When I shoot I use an after market upper so as not to wear out the original upper

If the SHTF I would use one of my semi autos for a couple of reasons.

First, F-A uses too much ammo. In a real SHTF scenario ammo would be a very scarce commodity and you can go through a lot of it on F-A.

Second, while "spray and pray" is OK in some situations directed semi auto fire is usually more effective, especially with optics.

My son was a Cav Scout in Iraq. He carried a M-4. He never used anything other than semi auto. Never the three shot burst.

I have a semi auto FAL. I can't imagine what it would be like to fire it on F-A. Kinda like the M-14s I trained on back in the 1960s where you couldn't hit shit on F-A.
