This is sort-of off the point, but I have always wondered whether the hijackers knew that the towers (a) would survive the impact of a huge jetliner crashing into them, but (b) would anticipate that the heat of the burning jetful would weaken the superstructure after a couple of hours, causing a one-floor collapse then a chain reaction that would bring down the buildings?

I don't think they were that smart.
