The great Joe-Cobra War was over, and the two sides had now become friends. The G.I. Joe sailor-soldier Shipwreck even married the Cobra female war-vizier Pythona. The war between the G.I. Joes and Cobra was waged over the appropriate method of media management in the modern world and whether management should be oriented towards democracy/capitalism or communism/socialism. U.S. President Donald Trump awarded the entire armies with a special retirement mansion in Switzerland, reserved for special government operatives. At this mansion on New Year's Day, the Joes and Cobras awarded themselves special medals for work done in the field of media.

SHIPWRECK (G.I. Joe sailor-soldier): Medal for work with chemical warfare deterrence
LADY JAYE (G.I. Joe female foot-soldier): Medal for public-relations work in Washington
BARONESS (Cobra female war-consultant): Medal for Communism Olympics treaties
PYTHONA (Cobra female war-vizier): Medal for work with defection problems
SERPENTOR (Cobra 'emperor'): Medal for work with youth-socialism education
SNAKE-EYES (G.I. Joe ninja-soldier): Medal for work on New Year's Day Homeland Security
After the medals were given out, the Joes and Cobras enjoyed champagne, Korean BBQ dishes, and a large-TV screen viewing of the war-film Apocalypse Now and The Thin Red Line. President Trump called the entire New Year's Day event a great 'peaceful achievement.' Trump then began planning how to use the memory of the work done by the Joes (and Cobras) in forging new commerce-based globalization treaties with China, North Korea, and South America. The United States was now the official 'base-camp' for all commerce-based leadership (i.e., Wall Street, NATO), and the the great Joe-Cobra War would be remembered as the event that changed globalization consciousness.
