Well I guess there's Slobo and Saddam, but the real cry comes from Europe on one side only. These guys get it. Lots more at site, with lots of links:

while we are pointing fingers, I would say the whole world
community is rather inactive versus the Russian lack of democracy
    and the war in Chechnya.

They are on my shitlist if it helps

I think war-crimes comitted by US are truely marginal in the history. Sadly enough (I am generally against war, and don't approve of the latest one either) these minor incidents gets far more attention than far more evil acts.

Why is this so? How come simple criminal acts gets to represent a whole political ambition? It is like media can't deliver information without names and faces on individual people.

There is a huge difference b/n USA and Russia, the protests in Germany would not have the same effect against Russia as it would against USA. Plus one must take into account the time duration of the events. Although iragi war is very recent, the war in Chechnya was going on since 1991 (on and off). Imho, average human being cannot concentrate on same event for a very long time unless it is directly affects him. In addition war in Iraq is pretty well covered, while military actions in Chechnya are not (due to multpile restrictions).

This is just a possible explaination, not a validation of the left actions

cause if one tries to be a "moral lighthouse", ones actions are usually put under the microscope
