Well, one thing has happened in Mexico from this – to open a bank account, one needs to have one of these cards. It's become a National ID. As for me, I don't mind having the same thing here at all – as long as they are issued only at the state level.

LOL. If it's going to be issued at state level, then it isn't valid at federal level. The hell with state level. Issued at federal level with feds making the rules. The we don't get into a deju vu of Jim Crow.
