If the precedent is set that the Force, or the person who gives the stand down order can be held responsible, that will be HUGE.

. Have to be careful who is to blame here, because if a stand down order was issued, then the police were doing what they were told. They have two things to worry about, and one is the PC environment in which they now serve in, and the safety of themselves if they were to take it upon themselves to act to save lives when the attempt to do so could destroy them and even their families. It's a dammed if you do, and a dammed if you don't situation, and the devil is always in the details. The innocent Dallas cop's being shot down like dogs has the police all over the nation second guessing their roles in the situations they might find themselves in. Leadership is the most likely one to be investigated always in a situation, otherwise where cops are being bad or standing down or not doing their job because they had all but given up due to bad leadership or they become corrupt due to bad leadership or lax leadership.
