NEW YORK -- Pope Francis praised American bishops Wednesday for their "generous commitment'" to helping victims of clergy sex abuse, drawing an angry rebuke from advocates who said the bishops acted only under the threat of hundreds of lawsuits. Addressing church leaders in a prayer service at the Washington cathedral, Francis said they had faced the crisis "without fear of self-criticism and at the cost of mortification and great sacrifice.

Yes, that will help all the children that were victims!

What the news media shows no interest in reporting is that for years now, the model the Church put into place to protect children is recommended to other agencies who find they need a better method of protecting children.

The Church in America, from parishioners to Bishops were on this crisis. No one blames past victims for continued bitterness, but the United States Conference of College Bishops was instrumental in insisting ALL parishes implement protective measures. The last I checked, there were still a few hold outs, but pressure was being applied.

I have no way of reading the Pope's mind, but my assessment is that it would be his desire for bishops worldwide to aggressively put in the same protective measures as was done in America.

That the Pope noted the work of fellow bishops with a positive comment does not mean regrets for past crimes aren't still present.

He was accused of raping two children himself - two women from Argentina said they were molested by him as children. They had a warrant for his arrest but the Vatican prevented it from going forward. His own Nuncio is a serial paedophile whose assistant wrote a confession to the Police that he had been procuring children from Pope Francis's Nuncio so that he could molest them. What did Francis do? He had his Nuncio whisked back to Rome so he couldn't be arrested and put on trial. Then he told the country where the crimes were committed that his Nuncio would be kept on house arrest at the Vatican. Then his Nuncio was seen walking freely unsupervised on the streets of Rome!!! One Paedophile looking out for another. That is the story on this Pope and the American people are going to see him in a Parade and cheer for him now? How Disgusting and vile is that?

Please don't tell me you believe the "Before It's News" website (a site where any individual can submit anything they like as "news" and have it go up on the Internet)?

The only "report" of the Pope raping children comes from "Before It's News" and reports that this occurred while the Pope was conducting during a satanic child sacrifice rite. Remarkably, this is said to have happened in rural Holland and Belgium while he was a priest in Argentina.

Come on, Jeremiah...First Jack Chick and now Before It's News?

As far as the ex-nuncio, Wesolowski, who was reduced to lay status, his July trial had to be postponed because the man was ill, and in an intensive care unit. He died August 27.
