The article behind the link says law enforcement can seek an order of public protection from a judge, who would first order the subject person's guns taken for 14 days, and if an evaluation showed that person was a danger to the public or themselves could renew the order for 60 days, twice.
It hardly sounds like " a leftist GUN HATING MENTAL HELATH DR. saying you have a mental health issue all because you are an AMERICAN, FREEDOM LOVING PATRIOT"..has any part in the process at all.

I am all for an armed public. I go about armed always, except where prohibited by law. So this opinion comes from a "pro gun nut".
I think this might be a step in the right direction to protect the public.
What we have now is obviously not protecting the public. We have simular laws where I live, put in place since some looney shot a congresscritter in Tucson. So far it seems to be working better than what we had before, and there have been no complaints of abuse of the law by anyone who has been the subject of a mental health review.

Did you miss where I said " you can be titled to having a mental illness" however they see fit.

So right now if you were to believe eating healthy was good for your body............... , later you decide to buy a gun or lets say a car they tell you , you can't buy either one because you have a mental illness" .. Hows that going to feel when you know dam well you are not mentally ill.
