USA laws: You Can't Drink Until You Are 21 But You Can Buy Gun When You Are 16

This is not the wild wild West, and I'm sick of the gun nuts railing about their 2nd Amendment rights. The 2nd Amendment talks about the importance of a "well-regulated militia". Emphasis on the WELL REGULATED!!! Things are not well-regulated if our children are being blown away in incident after incident after incident.

If the gun folk really need to have their way, why not just issue one gun per child at the hospital (or wherever) just after birth?
