10.3 as of today bush never had 5.1. SorryWhen did anyone complain that Bush had a 5.1% unemployment rate
Never, because income, LFPR, U6, interest rates, food stamps,GDP were all in the normal range. Obama is an anti-business communist and we see the results very clearly.
U6 right now (10.6%) is the same as it was at the point when U3 was at 5.1% during Bush's term.
closest bush had was 4.9, at that point U6 was 8.9. Sorry
It could be that more than ever they are being supported by foundations, parents & tax payers for 4 to 8 years. How is more old people retiring and more teenagers not working a bad thing? Is that bad? Why?
Whoops....high.
So teenagers not working is a good thing in your mind?
They want to work, but with all the low intelligence beaners taking all the min wage jobs they cant.
How do you know what "they" want?
If they're actually looking for a job, then they're in the labor force. If they're not looking for a job, what makes you think they want one?
What makes you think they dont?
Are American kids so fucken worthless? And if they are looking they sure as hell aren't in the work force, you'd have to be able to take one from a mexican.
He certainly did have record numbers not in the labor force:5.1% ?
sure...sure...whatever they say...the government wouldn't lie.
Did they lie when it was 5.1% under Bush?
Obviously not. He didnt have record numbers on some form of government assistance or record numbers out of the work force.

Who cares about Labor Participation Rate?
Why should I care if kids and grandpas are in the workforce?
.
Unemployment rate under Bush doubled
Unemployment rate under Obama has dropped 5%
Why would we want to elect Republicans again?

Not so great. The labor force participation rate increased during Reagan's terms; it's collapsed during Obama's.

That's the difference between young & hungry Boomers entering the workforce & broken down old ones with a large nest egg leaving.
It started when baby boomers retired and dropped out of the workforceHe certainly did have record numbers not in the labor force:Did they lie when it was 5.1% under Bush?

Weird how this started late in Reagans term. Probably has more to do with outsourcing, the reality that the middle class has taken a dump because of his policies and the reality that the new generation is smaller then the boomers.
No, that is the U-4 rate, as if you didn't know, which at the present time is 5.5%. If they're not looking for a job, what makes you think they want one?
U6 includes those who have given up looking but want want a job.
What a load of horseshit!10.3 as of today bush never had 5.1. SorryWhen did anyone complain that Bush had a 5.1% unemployment rate

Conservatives now blame the baby boom on Obama
For about the umpteenth time, the unemployment rate that is reported, which is categorized as U-3, does not count people who have been out of work for four years or more and have given up looking for a job. Yet they're still out of work, and they're still not working. What a load of horseshit!10.3 as of today bush never had 5.1. SorryWhen did anyone complain that Bush had a 5.1% unemployment rate

Bush crawled out of office leaving a U-3 of 7.8% and a U-6 of 14.2%
Unemployment 5.1% Sept 2015
Payroll employment increased by 173,000 over the past 14 years this month always gets revised up by 75K, so the real number is up 247,000
A few days ago the Federal Reserve Beige Book said The overall Labor supply continues to be "very tight", with contacts noting shortages of workers. Pay rates have grown by 3 percent to 20 percent, with the sharper increases reflecting a greater supply-demand gap.

And the labor non participation rate is the highest since 1977. It's amazing how you progressives just love to cheer about abject failure. Gosh you're dumb.
That's right, but irrelevant, the U-3 only counts people LOOKING for work. For about the umpteenth time, the unemployment rate that is reported, which is categorized as U-3, does not count people who have been out of work for four years or more and have given up looking for a job.

The U-4 rate does however count those who have given up looking for work but still want a job no matter how many years they have been unemployed, and it is presently 5.5%
