They know it is a hoax, and a scam, but it is a proven money maker, and way for governments to further control, and tax.

Nobody can answer where all the tax money goes from Carbon and Climate Change taxes, nor how they can measure any impact even if they were "doing something".

You should add up the "carbon footprint" created by manufacturing, transporting, erecting, and maintaining one of your goofy windmills, and see how they can't even reach their break-even point.
