Ukrainians are invited to freeze to death at home

You mean after enslaving Eastern Europe for over 40 years?
And the USSR no longer exists. You do know this right?

You silly establishment duped cons can’t have it both ways. You like to claim Russia is losing to little Ukraine, but somehow also claim Russia intends to conquer Europe.

Think!

For the sake of debate, let's conflate the SU and Russia for a moment.

Let's compare the damage inflicted on Russia by western Europe with the damage inflicted by Russia on Eastern Europe during the last 80 years to see who needs to be protected from whom:

Western european aggression against Russia:

killed more than 15 million russians and ethnic russians (not soviet citizens, only russians) and left the russian economy and civilian infrastructure utterly devastated.

Agression from Russia against eastern Europe:

amounted to 50 years of communist dictatorship with virtually no loss of life and no destruction of civilian infrastructure.

And even those 55 years of communism wouldn't have been imposed if Russia hadn't been forced to defend itself against western european agression.

And one more thing, Poland, Hungary, etc... were not forced to fight to the death, invade Moscow and depose Stalin or Krushev to get their freedom back. A russian leader peacefully dismantled the Iron Curtain giving those countries the chance to whine about russian aggression and use their newfound freedom to join NATO (reciprocating a magnanimous act with rancor, vengeance, cold war revanchism).

By any standards you choose to compare the two "aggressions", the violence suffered by Eastern Europe pales into nothingness when compared to the savagery of the carnage and total destruction imposed on Russia by Germany.

But as always, these historic facts don't prevent the super patriotic american clowns of the US Message Board to get all shocked and appalled by those 5 decades of communism endured by Eastern Europe while discarding Russia's concerns of a second giant bloodshed caused by the West as "paranoia".

Yes but Adam Smith’s (aka the “parrot“ of the establishment) point is nonsense. The USSR no longer exists, yet he thinks it does.

Russia never wanted this war. They sought good relations with Europe and worked to develop strong trade relations. Evidenced by the extraordinary costs they incurred to develop energy pipelines into Europe.

You like to claim Russia is losing to little Ukraine,

Yeah, that's hilarious!

but somehow also claim Russia intends to conquer Europe.

They aren't going to conquer the parts that are in NATO, are they?

Awww.....poor Russia.

A russian leader peacefully dismantled the Iron Curtain giving those countries the chance to whine about russian aggression and use their newfound freedom to join NATO

Why would they whine about being enslaved for more than 4 decades?

By any standards you choose to compare the two "aggressions", the violence suffered by Eastern Europe pales into nothingness when compared to the savagery of the carnage and total destruction imposed on Russia by Germany.

The rest of Eastern Europe deserved to be enslaved for something Germany did?

Your logic is getting weaker. Is it the vodka?

Round and round….

This is the convoluted way by which SPAC's reluctantly, grudgingly concede the point that what Russia/SU did to Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria in the last 80 years can't even be compared to the brutality inflicted by western Europe on Russia.

So based on past history and the continued existence and expansion of their cold war military alliance the US and western Europe poses a much more serious threat to post Cold War Russia than post Cold War Russia ever posed to her neighbors.

Which parts of Russia did western Europe enslave for 40+ years?

Why was your hero, Uncle Joe, an ally of Hitler?
Because he thought British, French, and US capitalists were less trustworthy.:omg:

German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact | History, Facts, & Significance

"The Soviet Union had been unable to reach a collective-security agreement with Britain and France against Nazi Germany, most notably at the time of the Munich Conference in September 1938.

"By early 1939 the Soviets faced the prospect of resisting German military expansion in eastern Europe virtually alone, and so they began searching about for a change of policy.

"On May 3, 1939, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin fired Foreign Minister Maksim Litvinov, who was Jewish and an advocate of collective security, and replaced him with Vyacheslav Molotov, who soon began negotiations with the Nazi foreign minister, Joachim von Ribbentrop."

They didn't trust Joe to dismember Poland.

How'd that work out for the Soviets?

The idea that Russias targeting of infrastructure is tantamount to some type of terrorism, or "war crimes", is laught out loud hilarious. Especially coming from the West, or the US. Considering that said infrastructure is the first thing we target when we commit to an invasion or attack.

Hey did you hear Nazi Germany no longer exists. Just like Soviet Russia no longer exists. Amazing stuff no?
