An American nurse and her daughter who were kidnapped in Haiti last month were released by their abductors, the El Roi Haiti nonprofit Christian ministry the woman was working for said Wednesday.

Alix Dorsainvil of New Hampshire was working for El Roi Haiti when she and her young daughter were seized in late July. She is the wife of the group's founder, Sandro Dorsainvil.

Witnesses told The Associated Press that Dorsainvil was working in the organization's small brick clinic when armed men burst in and seized her on July 27.

That's one country where I think we'd benefit from installing a benevolent dictatorship.

Sadly that country has no natural resources to help them....it's cropland was stripped during slavery times and hurricanes and earthquakes aren't helping.

Land can be re-conditioned, so don't know how you can claim something 150+ years ago can impact things today.

We tried with Papa Doc Duvalier and it failed.

Maybe we need the right person. Not just someone to run the country, but someone who will actually make education reforms, technology reforms, and make sure the local population is engaged so that when the time is right the people will finally be ready for self-governance because right now they definitely are not.

We do not have a dictator, the las guy who tried that was the Rapist and Traitor, send him there.

The molester in chief is a dictator. Forcing gov't regulation on everything from cars to fucking water heaters.

Fuck that fucking Joe Biden child molester.

Maybe we just need the right Communism, too. :rolleyes-41:

Bullshit. Their soil was rendered infertile after slavery because of their ignorance of crop rotation and no one left with a measurable IQ once the French left.

I worked with a foundation in a localized area of a large island to the north. Part of what happened was there were approx 10,000 moringa trees planted, which are fast growing and drought resistant, edible, highly nutritious and help in preventing soil erosion. Small sample size but it was successful and has helped to eliminate mudslides and flooding. The land is not the problem so much as land management is.
Also federal money sent from the U.S. is a waste and gets almost nothing done.
This was a small private foundation and a 1000 times more efficient and targeted.

We have Big Brother, an unseen hand of heavy control. Some say it's the black hand of shitstain obama.

You need resource for that. There is no way around it, without a base for an economy you cant get sable governance. It is an unfortunate reality.
