"A total of 34 percent of men find violence "occasionally necessary," while 28 percent said violence could be used to discipline women, according to a nationwide survey conducted among 3,500 men by the Happy Kids Association (Mutlu Çocuklar Derneği) and Kırıkkale University’s Application and Research Center for Women’s Problems."

So 62 % of the Turks in Turkey advocate violence against women, 34 % of them as occasionally necessary...

In Germany 37% of women have witnessed physical violence and 42% psychological violence.

I guess it´s even more within the Turks in Germany as most of them came from countryish and very traditional areas.

German FBI said, that 313 women were murdered in Germany last year.

So, in Germany annualy there are killed twice the amount of women than in Turkey.

studies in (...) the US have shown that 40-70 per cent of women who have been murdered were killed by their intimate partners, usually in the context of an abusive relationship. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that in the United Kingdom 40 per cent of female homicide victims are killed by their husbands or boyfriends.

In the Christian world they don't call it "honor killing", but these events are portrayed as individual cases.
