I am not a fan, but Tucker Carlson is a celebrity. When a celebrity loses a job, or is fired, or canned, they still are in high demand elsewhere, and would not have difficulty finding a new position giving them a role. When others of us lose a job or are fired, we may face real hardship, still, with nothing available for us right away. Tucker Carlson does not have that problem.
