After watching the endless lies, slanders, back-stabbing and other assaults against the man over the last 7 years, I can't imagine anyone not understanding that DC will simply NEVER allow him to sit in the Oval Office again. They will literally take the nation into violent conflict if they cannot manage to stop him any other way. America is at the edge of an abyss and it's the Democrats who are going to push us over the edge next year...

Actually, he did. He said he'd bring them to the table because Ukraine cannot continue the war without America funding it and supplying weapons. He said his leverage with Russia would be an ultimatum to Putin that he can either come to the table and make peace OR America would give Ukraine massive numbers of new weapons and support.
The reality is we've stumbled down a path that could lead to escalation and the use of nukes. THAT IS INSANE.

Had Putin been able to use blitzkrieg to take Kyiv and set up a puppet regime in a few days then there would be a very real danger that Vlad would wait awhile, then try it again with one or more of the Baltic states. He can't be allowed to use threats of nukes to give him new territories but after he has lost at minimum, tens of thousands of dead and over 100K wounded, if he made peace now, he'd have to wait a considerable term before he could recoup and rearm to try anything like this again.

He can't refit and rebuild his forces in secret and if he begins such a build up, NATO will have time to match or exceed his efforts. We have been watching the west and Russia playing fast and loose with the language around the use of nukes and that can cause a breakdown in the perception of reality where these weapons are concerned. IMO, anyone who is cheering for one side or the other and is simply assuming no one will use a nuke, is a person who is self-deluded.
