The reason the Democrats and some will say "hey, you don't need an expensive wall, just fund security, look the number of illegals entering is down already", is that they know a wall is permanent and effective. When the next democratic president is in power they will simply tell the border to "stand down" once again, and allow the massive flow of illegals. This is why without question a strong and effective wall is necessary.
