Trump made us a net-exporter of oil for the first time in 50 years and brought peace to the Middle East. Now it's an energy crisis and Israel bombed?

The Saudis? They are currently producing 10 million bpd.

The US is a "net exporter" .. They import 7.5 million bpd and export 2.5 to 3 million bpd.

No OPEC. They cut 9 million barrels in the Spring of 2020 when demand dropped through the floor in the pandemic.

They're increasing production slightly. But they want to keep prices high, and American oil companies are all for that.

Yeah but he was surly and hurt safe spacers feelings and that’s what really counts.

Donald Trump stopped the unfair harassment of our oil industry and let them get to work, allowing them to help the country by making us energy independent. As a result, we broke 300 million barrels of oil in one month for the first time since the 1970s, when another Republican was in office. So, in the 1970s, a Republican president enables the country to produce 300 million barrels of oil, breaking a significant milestone. Then Jimmy Carter comes along and we get an energy crisis where people had to be issued gas rations. Donald Trump rescues our fossil fuel industry and brings peace to the Middle East. Biden kills pipelines and undoes all of Trump's progress in the Middle East.

Thanks for showing the world your stupidity.

The American people produced energy independence. In 1980 the cry was “it will take until 2020”
We did it far faster, went from 10 mpg vehicles to 40. Drastically improved our properties energy efficiency. All industries followed suit. Pretty quietly greatly increased America’s production of oil. People did it far more than presidents.
American energy efficiency and sufficiency independence screws things up for the commies. That’s why it’s suddenly messed up and muddled

“JusticeHammer” obviously doesn’t care about justice, or thinks “justice” only applies to certain “chosen” people.

The blooming Israeli alliance with reactionary Gulf Oil sheikdoms is not exactly something to be proud of. Yes, it is better than war, surely. But it is what it is. “Justice” has nothing to do with it.

Are these the stats you are referring to?

1: The US DID NOT export more oil than we imported under Trump.

2: US oil companies export the vast majority of oil produced domstically, because they make more by exporting it, which does nothing to lessen our dependence on foriegn oil

The United States was a net importer of crude oil and petroleum products (imported more than it exported) in the first of half of each year until the first half of 2020, when the United States became a net exporter (exported more than it imported) by 432,000 b/d of crude oil and petroleum products. This year marks only the second time the United States has been a net total petroleum exporter in the first half of the year. The United States has been a net exporter of petroleum products alone since 2011.

The United States exports more refined petroleum products than it does crude oil. Petroleum product exports averaged 5.5 million b/d in the first half of 2021, up from 5.3 million b/d in the first half of last year. Exports of petroleum products include motor gasoline, distillate, and propane exports. Both imports and exports of select petroleum products mainly consumed as transportation fuels—distillate fuel oil, motor gasoline, and jet fuel—altogether decreased in 2020 compared with 2019.

The few remaining productive oil fields in devastated Syria are still held by U.S. troops illegally there. What is left of the Syrian economy after the civil war (in which the U.S. & its Gulf and Turkish allies supported Sunni fanatics against Assad) is now sanctioned by the U.S.A. As is all oil production in the potentially much more productive oil fields of Iran. China has also offered to redevelop Iraqi fields and open new ones there, which the Assembly there supported, but the U.S. put a stop to all such talk. Everybody suffers as a result of this.

As for Saudi increasing production in 2023 [!] — that will be far too late to make a difference — the Dems will probably get killed in the 2022 elections and after that all possibility of Biden confronting MBS will have evaporated.

Of course China buys oil from OPEC and the Saudis, and even LNG from the U.S., but it has seen how the U.S. has been willing to use its armed forces to get its way in the Middle East and elsewhere, to sanction Iranian and Iraqi production, and remembers how the U.S. cut off oil to imperialist Japan. XiJinping apparently believes that by controlling the South China Sea lanes he can make the U.S. think twice before trying the same with China.

You're making too much of Syrian oil. Why would US troops even bother? I know Trump bragged that he took their oil, but nobody cares.. Its only fit for asphault and they don't even have enough oil for Syria's domestic consumption. Their oil sector along with agriculture collapsed in 2005.

Of course .. OPEC prices are always a dollar less than domestic oil or Brent. and the US has the highest lift costs in the world.

IOW's, since oil and gas production increased by 88% under Obama, we'll credit ALL of the presidents with Obama's work, since we can never credit Obama with anything.

You are correct that Syrian oil could never make a significant ripple in world production. But of course for Syria the U.S. seizure of its few remaining functioning oil wells, our presence straddling the main road to Iraq, regular Israeli bombing of Iranian forces invited into the country to fight ISIS types, and overall U.S. sanctions — all this is preventing any economic recovery of this devastated region. Not defending Assad here of course, but our presence in Syria remains illegal and our troops there a (legitimate) target.

My larger point about how we have long conspired to keep oil prices high, helping destroy and/or sanctioning oil producers from Venezuela to Libya to Iraq to Iran — this I think remains valid.

Why do you keep denying that Barrack Obama and Joe Biden are responsible for American energy independence, FuckBoi? You've been told, more than once. The links have been posted but clearly you didn't read them. How stupid are you?

Ready the fucking links, dipshit. You might learn something. Otherwise you're going to go through life as stupid, gullible FuckBoi!

your a fucking moron

Way too many facts to fit the agenda

Obama did not do anything to increase oil production for the benefit of Americans. The effects of citizenry conservation accomplished that. Why would you try to attribute something good for America to Obama when he constantly expresses his disappointment in America?

So if oil production goes up under Trump, it's his accomplishment, but if oil production nearly doubles under Obama, the President had nothing to do with it? Is that the hill you want to die on?

Everyone is disappointed in America for being racist, ill informed and for electing someone as criminally corrupt as Donald Trump as President. Why would anyone be proud of what Republicans have done to the country?

Tom, I don't think the US would have cared about Syria except for the flood of refugees. There is a real in depth article about Syria in the Atlantic. Stand by.
