American union worker support for populist-nationalist Republicans may have started with Trump, but it’s not ending with him as many in the pundit class had predicted.

In 2015, Trumpka told Chuck Todd in the midst of the Republican primary for president that “probably every” union worker in the United States said “Amen!” when Trump spoke about the crippling impact trade deals have had on American workers.

I agree with everything the man said. He is spot on. Working men and women are worse off under Trump.

Rescinding Obama’s overtime EO cost millions of low wage workers a decent and well earned pay raise so they couldn’t be exploited into working 60 hour weeks while being paid for 40, by being given a phoney management title

Trump promised working men and women raises and yet he’s taken away raises of some of the lowest paid and most government dependent workers in the country.

His policies have seen energy and transportation costs rise, and health care insurance premiums soar.

Trump keeps bragging on jobs created and the stock market but the country was already at full employment when he was elected. All he’s done in stimulating employment you don’t need, is to cause prices to rise while wages continue to stagnate.

In simple terms, he’s done nothing for working families in the US except make things worse by undoing everything that Obama did to help them.
