White House blocks McGahn from testifying to Congress

So, what is Trump afraid of? :21:

President Donald Trump has directed ex-White House Counsel Don McGahn not to testify before a House Judiciary Committee hearing, the White House said Monday. In a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, current White House Counsel Pat Cipollone said McGahn is "absolutely immune from compelled congressional testimony" related to his service as a former Trump adviser. Nadler had subpoenaed McGahn and is seeking information related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

That bullshit dodge by Cipollone to ignore the exceptions to that concerning Congress's Constitutional duty to provide oversight regarding ongoing criminal activity sure as fuck isn't going to be overlooked, as that useful Idiot, Cipollone, would like to make all believe. That is tantamount to de facto blanket immunity for the President and all senior Executive branch officials and casts the House and Senate oversight responsibilities, the checks and balances that maintain the balance of power between the three branches, to the wind as if the gale had them torn from the Constitution!

If Liberty loses this single part of the balance of the norms, our Nation will surly fall to ruin! Then the Right Wing Fascist bastards will be able to start on the Fourth Reich and its thousand years!

“He (Jerry Nadler) wants a show. He wants to use Mr. McGahn as a prop to spend three hours claiming that Mr. Trump tried to obstruct the Mueller investigation. YET MR. MUELLER WASN’T OBSTRUCTED IN ANY WAY, HIS COPIOUS REPORT WAS RELEASED FOR ALL TO SEE, & THERE WAS NO COLLUSION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN. Mr. McGahn can be forgiven for declining the honor of appearing in Mr. Nadler’s pseudo-impeachment drama.” Wall Street Journal Editorial Board as quoted by Trump on twitter
