This is all well and good. But Flacco is not Trent dilfer. Flacco may not be one of the top 5 QB in the league but he's not a middle of the pack overhyped QB like say, dalton.
By what analysis do you reach that conclusion? According to his stats, Flacco is pretty much middle of the pack.
NFL Stats by Player Position
Completion percentage = 27th (after eliminating passers with less than 10 attempts)
Total yards = 12th
YPG = 18th
TD = 12th
INT = 13th
Rating = 22rd (after eliminating passers with less than 10 attempts)
Ave = 23rd
Flacco is a good QB. But if you are saying he's better than middle of the pack, you're overhyping him.
He's proven he can win without needing a Calvin Johnson and a Dez Bryant out wide.
No, he hasn't. Flacco has always had a premier selection of receiving targets at his disposal. The one year his receiving corps wasn't especially great, the team went 8-8. Mason, Boldin, T. Smith, S. Smith, Jones, Heap, Pitta, Dickson, Owens, and Rice catching out of the backfield, all were pretty damn good individual contributors to outstanding overall receiving corps. Few teams are so fortunate to have as much talent at their disposal catching passes.
