You make some good points. China may be on “the other side of the globe” but the U.S. considers itself “global policeman,” and waste’s its wealth on wars and speculative money manipulation on Wall Street. The world’s largest markets are also soon going to be located in China and Asia and American producer goods are not only expensive but far inferior to Japanese, German and Korean products sold in China. The U.S. is screwing itself, blaming everybody, and wants to control the global reserve currency Which also forces other big trading countries to maintain a positive balance of payments. It’s called the Triffin Dilemna:Mostly due to transportation costs. The Achilles heel of China has always been logistics - it's the other side of the globe. Mexico is next door.BTW, I saw a graphic a few days ago estimating that China is now ~30% more expensive as a manufacturing economy than Mexico. That’s mostly due to the rise of labor costs in China.

The goal of the globalist manipulators is to make China the premier economy in the world. One of the primary reason that the globalist elite so bitterly hate Donald Trump is his major shift in focus from building China to building Mexico and Latin America. While the globalists tout China as the greatest nation on earth that all other, particularly America, MUST emulate, the actual economic outlook is much different. With a nominal per capita GDP of $8,612, China ranks 79 on the scale, far below Mexico who is 70.

China was viewed as a prime spot for international manufacturing because the totalitarian government provides a stable and compliant workforce. The risk of revolution and nationalizing of business is relatively low, as long as bribes are paid in a timely fashion. China is corrupt, the globalists can easily and readily buy ministers and functionaries to ensure business operates without regulation or oversight. The workforce was adaptive to training, vital for tech manufacturing. No environmental regulation - PNP processing of circuit boards is a nasty process.
Mexico offers many of the same benefits, but not all. Mexico is not a totalitarian state and has a generally free populace. But Mexico is highly corrupt and the government is easily bought. Environmental regulation doesn't exist. Wages are higher in Mexico, but transportation costs are a fraction. China relies on technical expertise from Korea and Taiwan, Mexico has the United States to offer expertise.
A developed Mexico, which is a done deal, and a developed central America - which is likely to happen under Trump, is a major benefit to the USA - but not to the Global Oligarchs, hence the war in the streets and the slander of the concept of nationalism and sovereignty. Brussels backs China, but they are no friends to America.
