Top Ten Cities for Electric Cars

Soon Americans will get to choose between having lighting in their homes or running their EVs. Because when there's not enough electricity to go around there'll be rationing in the name of equality.

Cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo ....

Maybe you can set up a secret comm line with the other crazy folk, and you can all tell each other how clever you were to hide in your anti-reality bunkers. Kind of like you're doing here.

Meanwhile, everyone else will be moving forward, not to mention laughing our asses off at you.

s0n......do you enjoy making an ass out of yourself? ( like that cat avatar isn't a dead giveaway?:D )

And how many Ford Mustangs were sold in the month of March 2011 alone???

8,600

February 2012 Ford Mustang sales figures gain huge - StangNet

Now.....speaking of "reality".......exactly who is the asshole here?:D:D:D:fu:

Now I know who they were talking about on those bumperstrips about 50 years ago......

Okay ... I guess I'll "go green" and get one of these instead:

Also, a premium very expensive car is the second best selling EV. Guess what is going to happen when the price of the batteries is 25% of what it is today.

What makes you think that in the future the price of (Li) batteries will be 25% of what it is today?
Not even the the EV industry is as optimistic as that,
How Much And How Fast Will Electric-Car Battery Costs Fall?
2020: $200 to $500 per kWh?
Those numbers tie neatly to estimates by clean-tech market intelligence firm Pike Research--contained in Electric Vehicle Batteries, a very pricey report--that the installed cost of lithium-ion batteries will fall by more than one-third by the end of 2017.
Real costs? No one will say
The actual cost of lithium-ion battery packs is one of the most closely guarded secrets in the electric-car world. We've not found a single maker willing to go on record and say what their cost per kilowatt-hour is.
but the prices for the raw materials to manufacture Li batteries are going up (sharply):

To get to your "25% in the future" cost you would have to get rid of all the stock markets & trading in futures world wide.

and as far as that is concerned:
2013 Tesla Model S Performance (310 kW) 0-60 mph 3.9 Quarter Mile 12.4

Tesla 0-60 Times & Tesla Quarter Mile Times | Tesla Roadster Electric Sports Car, Model S and Tesla Model X SUV 0 to 60 stats!

How many of the Stangs will match that?
Do the math !
If all you got is an 85 kwh battery you would be totally out of juice with your Tesla Model S after just 16 minutes if you were racing against "Stangs".

The scoffing at a future low price for batteries is founded on the belief that there will only be incremental improvements to existing technology. It will take something disruptive to break the price and there are student engineers in India who will get it done.

None here, tho, they're all caught up in environmental compliance concerns.
