    Last I heard we have 38!!!!! four stars. Abe Lincoln saved the Union with 3 (that is THREE) THREE stars. We have more now than at the height of WW2.

    While he was at it he freed the slaves, completed the trans continental railway, and got Alaska with SIX Cabinet Officers and an Executive Office of TWO twenty something assistants.

    Some are ribbons, clueless.

    Some are medals.

    Some are campaigns. Some are unit awards, etc.

    Get a fucking basic knowledge of what one's wearing.

    He's right....We got a bunch of dead weight, brown-nosing, political glad-handing paper shufflers at the top of the chain-of-command.

    It's the military equivalent of grade inflation and social promotion.
