folks around here (and a lot of folks in general) WAY overestimate the amount of power the guy in the white house has. the more of this BDS/ODS give and take i watch, the more i get the impression that the president's job is actually just to be a fall guy people can throw tomatoes at. and that helps protect the people who really make US policy.
