CIA couple outed by 5-year-old son

HOUSTON (Reuters) - The Washington couple at the heart of the CIA leak investigation had their cover blown by their small son as they tried to sneak away on vacation on Thursday.

"My daddy's famous, my mommy's a secret spy," declared the 5-year-old of his parents, former diplomat Joe Wilson and retired CIA operative Valerie Plame.

The former spy, who just retired from the agency, and the diplomat have been at the center of a CIA leak scandal that has reached into the White House.

They said they were headed to an undisclosed vacation location with their twins but stopped for a brief interview inside the airport terminal.

A special prosecutor has indicted Lewis "Scooter" Libby, a top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, for lying in the investigation and has opened a second grand jury.

Plame's cover at the CIA was blown after her husband accused the Bush administration of twisting prewar intelligence to support military action against Iraq. Wilson said it was deliberately intended to undercut his credibility.

Wilson said he does not know how the current investigation was progressing and has only spoken to the special prosecutor twice, most recently in late September.

Plame would not be interviewed and stood out of hearing distance with the other twin.

Wilson said his wife's retirement allows her to spend more time with the soon to be 6-year-olds. "She enjoyed her career there," Wilson said of the CIA.

Most people concerned with their privacy stop for interviews on undisclosed location vacations.

Of course, the best way not to draw attention is to pose in a bathing suit.

And WHY would you tell your five-year-old a secret that sensitive in nature? :wtf:

Silly, they didn't tell him.... Dubya did!!!! It went down just like in "Fahrenheit 9/11"....

(Opening shot, we see the front of a school) .... He pulled up in front of the kid's pre-school in his black shiny limousine,

He then had a Secret Service man go in and ask for the boy.... (shot of a tall man, in sunglasses, dressed like "Lurch" from the Addams family entering school)

A little boy is taken to Dubya's limousine, where he is surrounded by Dubya, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney!!!! (shot of interior of limousine, with a small innocent looking little boy with freckles, blue eyes, clutching his Power Ranger surrounded by three ghoulish figures)

Right away, they snatch away the kid's Power Ranger doll and threaten to torture it, pull it apart, shred it and melt it..... UNLESS the kid does their dirty work!!!!!!! (Close up of the terrified look on the kid's face as tears well up in his eyes)

The kid, in tears, fearing for the health and safety of his beloved Power Ranger doll, the only action figure he ever truly cared for, relunctantly agrees.... (another shot of the kid, holding his head in his hands, sobbing uncontrollably, knowing that he cannot resist this horribly potent evil force!!!!)

so they instruct him to out his Mommy... she's a secret agent and Daddy is too!!!! Now, go blab it to the newspapers!!!!! B-WA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!!! (We hear hysterical evil laughter as the trio has once again managed to jeopardize the American way of life!!!)

The trio of evil has struck again!!!!! Attacked American Freedoms, used the Constitution as a floor mat, set back Western Civilization by twenty thousand years!!!! And soon, they shall control all the oil... in... the.... world!!!!!! (Big Clap of Thunder and bolt of lightning is seen that highlights Karl Rove's beady bloodshot eyes, squinting with an evil look in them as the limousine rushes back to the the Dark Tower .... I mean, The White House)

Why anyone takes their "Outing my wife ruined her career and put her life in danger" charge seriously is beyond me. In his first book, Wilson admits that Plame admitted her "super secret spy status" to him during their 2nd date during a "heavy petting" session.

This woman is a joke. Her husband is a joke. It is obvious that they are desperate and hungry for publicity and fame...to the point where they tell their 5 year old things that they would never tell a child if they were truly interested in leading private lives.

I would laugh it it was so positively pathetic that so much time and energy was taken away from serious issues to deal with this media whores.

The way those idiots carry on, you'd think Valerie Plame had a custom built Astin Martin in her garage, complete with machine guns and spoke with a British accent. Do you think she likes her martinis shaken or stirred?

I have to ask, if outing, what seems to be a low level, desk bound spy is such a big felony, then why isn't blowing the cover off of domestic surveillance a big time felony, too? If Karl Rove is supposed to go to jail over Valerie Plame, then the entire NYT should be sent to prison for what they did.

Valerie Plame's contribution to national security is probably negligible. On the other hand Al Qaeda cells now know that they are being watched, thanks to the NYT. I'm sure that they'll now be taking extra precautions, which will make the job of law enforcement just that much tougher.
