Congress Now Blaming Obama For Its Embarrassing Override Of His Veto
The fallout of overriding his veto of the Saudi lawsuit bill is apparently too painful. Watch McConnell swallow and wallow in sheer ignorance as he tries to backtrack on the veto override issue.
WASHINGTON — On Wednesday, Congress was so determined to pass a law to sue Saudi Arabia that it overrode President Barack Obama’s veto. But possiblebacklash against America had top Republican leaders looking for someone else to blame Thursday.
The White House called the override the “single most embarrassing thing that the United States Senate has done” in decades....really? Have you heard of this guy named Trump...:banana:

I've said this a zillion times, the GOP are too fuckin ignorant for words and every single thing they touch, they fuck it up!!!

The only thing republicans have done in eight years and it is consistent with just how stupid their party become. Congress is working its way to deplorable. They are closer every day. [RP] I can see it now, they are in Small Claims court puzzled and pondering the outcome of their case against the Saudis, while the first off target drone death will be an enormous settlement for some poor family in bum fluck desertland, and Americans will pay as they believe in law while the others wait in Small Claims court. Gad this nation grows stupider by the day.

"Advocates say the measure is narrowly drawn, but administration officials argue that it would apply much more broadly and result in retaliatory actions by other nations. The European Union has warned that if the bill becomes law, other countries could adopt similar legislation defining their own exemptions to sovereign immunity. Because no country is more engaged in the world than the United States — with military bases, drone operations, intelligence missions and training programs — the Obama administration fears that Americans could be subject to legal actions abroad." from above

When will people realize that if we open the door for one country to be sued we are opening ourselves up to possibly a hundred thousand lawsuits or even millions of law suits. The US has done a lot of killing of innocent lives around the world we should be the last ones coming up with such laws.

I seldom agree with Obama, but he and New York Times got it right IMO. This bill is merely a get rich scheme for lawyers. They win if an American sues and get to defend if a foreign national sues. Win, win for the lawyers. I wonder how many Congressmen who are lawyers will suddenly retire to jump on the gravy train.

Only one retarded dimwit voted against the veto, of course it was the ultra idiot Reid. Talk to your dimwits in congress.

How is congress embarrassed by the veto override? If anyone is embarrassed and "lashing out" it's the freaking Hussein administration.
