His fraud technique works with denier cultists, because deniers regard fact-checking as something that only liberals stoop too. In their cult minds, belief on faith is a virtue, so they never fact-check. However, honest people actual read the science, so we know Delingpole is lying.

Settled science. CO2 and CH4 are GHGs. CO2 has increased from 280 ppm to 410+ ppm. CH4 has increased from about 750ppb to 1800+ ppb. Settled science, we are responsible for 100% of that increase. Settled science, the TSI has been decreasing since 2000, but we have had a very strong warming for that whole period, in spite of the production of aerosols by India and China.

The clowns at SkepticalScience skimmed the abstracts of about 10k papers and declared 97% were in agreement with the global warming consensus even though many or most gave no direct opinion.

Now the fanatical warmers here are trying to say that recent papers that propose alternate reasons for the warming aren't actually disagreeing with their consensus.

What an amazing double standard they are able to rationalize to themselves.

None of the proposed theories has been proved, and it is likely that a number of factors are involved. Unfortunately for climate science they have claimed certainty, and made a number of predictions. Reality has proven them wrong. No amount of sophistry can prop up their mistakes forever. Their misused and distorted statistical methods are straying farther and farther away from reality.

The basic mechanism of the Greenhouse Effect is real. The exaggerated claims of its magnitude are not. You can only push the results in your favoured direction for so long by distorting the data with poor assumptions and faulty statistics. Sooner or later reality will win out. Politics has made it difficult to ratchet down the exaggerated claims but there is little doubt for me that a large correction is coming. And that science will get an ugly black eye for seemingly supporting CAGW.

 

Arent you glad that the Earth is warming up year after year so the Polar Ice Caps are melting so much that people can boat from Canada to Russia without any ice? So if the Polar Caps are melting where does the cold come from if the Earth is heating up?

 

Good God, you are truly that stupid. If the north polar area warms up 8 degrees in an area that is normally -30 in the winter, that means it is still -22 after it has warmed. But in the summer, when it normally was around 32 degrees, it is now 40 degrees, and that is a big difference for the ice.
