The US Constitution CLEARLY says there are equal protection of the laws. Also, marriage is a cross state issue. A straight person who gets married in Florida is still married when they are in Washington, so a gay person who is married should still be married when they enter Louisiana or Texas.

Thing is the Supreme Court isn't there to write policy. Giving gays the right to marry etc. is a right, and different from redefining marriage which was rewriting law into new and different law. There is a difference.
