Why would people in their cushy seats back in Washington DC tell CIA operatives to not get involved in a gun battle to save State Department personnel....

Well, they probably wanted to keep it "quiet" that they were actually CIA agents. Libya's leaders, muslims around the muslim world and some in the world community might look unfavorably at Obamination if they felt betrayed by CIA agents sneaking around Libya under the false reasons for being in Libya.

The CIA doesn't advertise their agents when they step foot in another country, they are going to show up as someone else and Obamination's people probably freaked out when their cover would be blown in the attack.

Liberals calling the shots in DC felt pretending CIA agents weren't in Libya was more important than saving the lives of Americans under attack, especially the freakin Ambassador. The ragtag leaders of Libya might be pissed off that Joe Schmoe wasn't a USAID representative but really a CIA agent and Obamination didn't want that or his people didn't want that to happen.

I doubt they could have done much to stop the planned and organized attack. That said they didn't have to lie about it afterwards.

They could have told all CIA personnel in country too help out instead of to "hide and keep quiet."

Nevermind tell AFRICOM and EUCOM to send military aircraft and spec ops to the scene that lasted 7 hours.

Instead they started working on their cover story. :eusa_whistle:

If you'll consider that 3 brave men disobeyed the stand down orders at the annex and after arriving at the consulate managed by themselves to extract everyone but the ambassador, imagine what would have happened had everyone been sent with air power following. Just the sight of the planes could have broken that up.

    If they had done something.
    If they had attempted something,anything.
    That would have been better.

    They did nothing.
Then I believed they lied about it.
Anyone in this administration that is on record saying everything that happened
was the result of a video should be fired.

The CIA was told to stand down to act like they weren't really there and the military was told to stay put because Obamination doesn't like using the military unless he is sure he can make a movie about it inserting himself right in the middle.

He feared spec ops guys dying or being captured or some F-16 crashing like a F-111 did during a raid under Reagan. Reagan wasn't scared of the flack from a military operation not being perfect.

Axelrod and the rest went nuts over Romney
speaking out early on this saying he was politicizing the event.
Yet everything the Obama camp did or didn't do was based
    on politics...

    It totally is that obvious...
