On the face of it it seems innocent but if you look underneath the surface it's one more excuse not to have to learn English when you arrive here to become an American.

To me, what matters most is the fact that the girl put the pledge out there at all. Maybe she didn't know English yet and so if she was only doing what she could, I appreciate the salute that she was respectful enough to give.
