The NRA Wasn’t Always A Front For Gun Makers

The NRA trains our law enforcement officers. You just bitch about them. They trained your police. The trained the police who trained the police. Unless they are in Coward County.

The Law Enforcement Division (LED) of the NRA was established in 1960 specifically to provide the law enforcement community with a means to certify law enforcement firearm instructors. Over the last 55 years, we have trained more than 58,000 law enforcement firearm instructors and currently have over 13,000 active certified instructors.

We are committed to offering the best in law enforcement and military firearm instructor training available. Our instructors consist of active and former police officers from around the country who are highly trained and well-respected professionals in the field.

Although the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is involved in politics, the Law Enforcement Division does not get involved with political issues. Providing the best training possible to our law enforcement officers is our number one priority. We have only one goal in mind -- to provide every law enforcement officer in the country with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to WIN a lethal encounter!

The NRA is a non-profit organization, and as such, our programs cost significantly less than those offered by various other training organizations. We have spent a considerable amount of time and energy over the last several years revising and updating our current course curriculums. Our firearm instructor courses are state-of-the-art, and can be successfully defended in any court of competent jurisdiction, should the need arise. We stand ready to assist you and/or your department with all of your firearm instructor needs.

So, if they are a nonprofit, why are they so involved in running political ad after political ad after political ad? Are they a non profit Political PAC?

/——-/ WTF does non profit have to do with their work? If they were for profit you’d Support them? Geeeeeze.

How did "gun makers" become the enemy? If you want to expand the conspiracy it seems that car makers and drug makers kill more Americans than "gun makers".

America never used to be about money, lawyers, political action committees either. We sell each other out for a buck and cynically mock old fashioned American virtues...

I cherish my guns - but I'm not worried about these kids trying to take them away. They just want responsible and reasonable gun controls - like most responsible gun owners.

Something like this is what I've feared for some time. I've said for many years that the NRA is the greatest threat to my future gun rights. Their never-give-an-inch attitude must change - or the kids will change them.

These kids want sensible gun control just like most responsible gun owners want.

Ban assault weapons. Ban high-capacity magazines. Universal background checks. Address mental health, domestic abuse and reporting issues. Accurate up-to-date enhanced National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

If NRA gun nuts don't back off - we may end up with severe gun control and a national gun registry.

It's sadly funny that the Justice Department is reportedly going to ban bump stocks. What kind of retards allowed them to be legal in the first place? I realize that bump stocks are easy to replicate - but the penalty for using them should be severe.

73 TEENS GUNNED DOWN SINCE PARKLAND

We do have responsible gun laws. The problem is that democrats don't have the will to enforce them and we have a negligent federal law enforcement agency that couldn't find two Russian terrorists in Boston before they blew up the marathon, dropped the case on a nut case who went viral and opened fire in a Florida nightclub and claimed they couldn't find a crazy former student when there were only six other people in the freaking United States with the same name. "Gun makers" and the NRA aren't responsible for firearms violence anymore than Ford and the AAA are responsible for automobile deaths.

/——/ Libs say ban the American Automobile Association to stop drunk drivers.
