He never really admits he's a Muslim. He will say the one was "a slip".. and " I am one of them", means he's heard the call. But he has said that we are not a Chrsitian nation, and he clearly says that Islam guides his conviction. You add it up. I was at ground zero days after 9-11, and as bad as Bush was, I can't believe this country, just 7 years later, was dumb enough to vote in anyone less than 1000% pro American and it's hertiage and values.

I don't think he's anything. He thinks he's established his Christian creds, but he admits he sat there in church for twenty years and heard little of the sermons. He referred to " my Muslim faith" in an interview/conversation with G. Stephanopous but I'll just accept that as a misspeak.

Even if he was Muslim he would never deny it; there's nothing wrong with being a Muslim, and it's not disqualifying. And it's common for atheists (what I believe him to actually be) to claim Christian faith just out of politeness, and one of the best social/occupational networks is being in a church congregation.

His religious persuasion is his business, and I wouldn't waste any time on it.
