2% my ass.
Last year a Subway sandwhich was $5. Now it's $6. 20% hike.
Ice cream is higher and no longer a gallon.
Electricity is 50% higher than 6 years ago.
Buy a pound of coffee? You can't, part of the ever shrinking consumer products.
Buy a pound of hamburger lately?
Robituson cough syrup is higher and smaller. Dosage is 10ml, bottle is 39ml.
Average cost of a home in my town is $600K, rent $3,500.

It's all smoke and mirrors because Social Security payments are based upon the inflation rate the government says it is.

The Inflation Rate Is A Lie Too

You are exactly correct and I've been saying for sometime that everything is being misreported, and dollars are being created in the trillions.

America is a giant Jewish lie now.

And how much should that affect the CPI? "Limited Service meals and snacks" has a weight of 2.453%

quality changes, such as size, are accounted for when calculation changes. And again, you're picking individual items as representative of everything?
The CPI came out today. which specific items do you think are wrong and why?

And I switched my habits...Flank and Skirt steaks got too expensive, so I switched to sirloin, London broil, and rib eye, none of which went up as much. Who is parroting the government, dufus. They don't have an army of people going out and analyzing inflation rates every month.

And how much should that affect the CPI? "Limited Service meals and snacks" has a weight of 2.453%

The CPI came out today. which specific items do you think are wrong and why?
Table 2. Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U): U. S. city average, by detailed expenditure category
Their numbers are BS so they don't have to give the elderly SS raises.
Evidence? What exactly are you claiming is done? And do you really think that SS COLA is the only function of the CPI so that deliberately false information would be published and the people who need good information don't get it?

Food costs have skyrocketed the last 10 years, as well as energy, entertainment, clothing, housing, etc etc
Define "skyrocketed? Food has gone up on average about 27% in the last 5 years. What are your sources?

Ice cream is higher and no longer a gallon.
Electricity is 50% higher than 6 years ago.
Buy a pound of coffee? You can't, part of the ever shrinking consumer products.

Robituson cough syrup is higher and smaller. Dosage is 10ml, bottle is 39ml.

So I run out and do some errands. Car wash at the gas station, that used to be free when you bought 8 gallons, went to $10 over the last few years. Today it was $11. That's a 10% hike. Anyone's salary go up 10%? Mine either. Get some groceries. My 48 ounce ice cream (which used to be 128 ounces) is now 46.

I won't even get into housing and energy costs.

Pure BS there is no inflation.
