Just spent the day at Seaworld in Orlando. Seaworld rocks! Shamu rocks!
This is one of those companies that I'm trusting to save the world. Just like Superman.
Their business is natural beauty and their budget is in the billions, with all the political influence that kind of a commercial budget implies. Not to mention the self imposed job that they've undertaken of educating visitors about how interdependent life on earth is and how it IS important to reduce the footprint if industrialization. The the liberal message of conserving the planet is not subtle at all.
And they're not alone. Same attitude and message pervades the presentation at Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom. That park rocks, too. And when I start counting noses and multiplying by ticket prices, I start thinking I should look at investing. But when you consider how just plain fun the parks are, along with the work they do in environmental conservation, their ticket price is worth every dime.
